Mari is a UK-based Japanese cinematographer with over 20 years of experience in the industry. Grounded in TV drama, her work spans feature films, dramatic reconstructions, corporate projects, music videos, and high-profile interviews.
Her short film was selected for the BSC New Cinematographers Night in 2016, and her debut feature, Fields of War, was released on Amazon Prime in 2020. Recent credits include the TV mini-series Blue Season (Galaxy Play/Apple TV), RTS Award–nominated special female-centric Hollyoaks episode "The Long Walk Home"(Channel 4), behind-the-scenes interviews for Life On Our Planet (Netflix), and 2nd Unit DoP on the Japanese feature film 10 Dance (Netflix). |
